  2. Business news: Finally starting to list my new spring/summer 2011 line: http://nfallondesignstudio.blogspot.com/2011/05/made_18.html

Personal news: Recently wondered how did our modern globe come to be? So I'm reading The History of the Ancient World. Quite an undertaking, but is answering my question:)

  3. I love the motivation your blog gives!
I have been watching it closely this week, as I am in my first show for Raige Creations this Sat. In 2 days!!
So busy creating, and when I take a break, I love seeing your photos and motivational tips.

So hopefully, with the show the HUGE motivator this week, I will be able to create everything on my list, get it tagged, and ready for Sat.

  4. apparently my brain doesn't want to make maps right now, so i've decided to go in a new direction with my shop. i'll probably focus on cards, invites, and photography for a while.

also, i decided it might be time to get a real job, so i'm working on cover letters for that.

  6. I love making my jewelry. I hate promotting it. My last blog post was re a promotion I was doing with other Zibbeters. I had asked my commentors about how they promote. Original comments got deleted on Wed, when original post was made. Blogger was down. So, if anyone wants to share with me, how they promote, It would be appreciated. Thank you - Debbie

  7. I have just a couple of things to share today.

I have a lot of family coming at the end of next week my daughter is graduating from High School, so next weekend is going to be very busy. That means I have lots of cleaning to do this weekend and I hate cleaning.

I am working on new pieces for my Etsy Shop, I listed a few pieces this month. Hopefully I will have more time to create once my daughter is out of school next week. When she leaves for college in August I will have lots of time to create, but I will miss her a lot.

  9. I am starting to read tons of books on Native American history and traditions. I have to get my research done so that I can finally get to writing that graphic novel/comic book. Haven't decided what format it'll be yet.

I'm also working on a series of small painting that I will turn into post cards and give some of the originals away within the next few month.

    Arts
    Abstract
    Horror Art

  10. This is always fun, it gives everyone a chance to share a bit about what's going on with them! Okay, my three things:

    (1) I just read an amazing book called "Annexed", by Sharon Dogar. It's a historical fiction novel about what it might have been like for Peter van Pels (better know as Peter van Daan) living in the Annex with Anne Frank and the rest of them. I finished it in about a day and a half, and I'm rereading it because it was so good!

    (2) I've started a poetry contest on my blog! It'll go on for four weeks and started today. All are welcome to join! Here's the post:

    (3) I've listed a few new photos in my Etsy shop, TheForestFaery.etsy.com, recently. I'm also planning to go through my listings as they expire and weed out the older ones that I don't particularly care for anymore. Stay tuned! ;)

Thanks for posting this, Valerie! :)

    Hugs,
    Taylor Lynn <3

  11. Debbie I agree promoting is a lot of work and not much fun. If I could I would just write my blog I would be happy, but then I would have a house full of jewelry and no money. So I guess we do what we gotta do.

Crunchy Diva I love that photo, thanks for sharing.

Armada that's very cool that you are writing a graphic novel. Keep us posted on your progress.

Taylor Lynn your poetry contest sounds like lots of fun. I hope you get lots of entries.

    Thanks again everyone for sharing!

  12. Congrats on your daughter's graduation and college entrance!

    My 3 things:

I gathered my courage and opened a shop on Store Envy:
    http://newendstudio.storenvy.com/

Made a new commitment to bettering my health, it's long overdue. Taking it hour by hour.

Cleaning out the house and giving away all sorts of items to the local charity shops. It's so rainy here that we are housebound, so putting that time to a good purpose.

  13. I just recently realized I have not been keeping up with the blogs that I have subscribed to, so it was fun to refind yours!

I am learning about the 'power of intention' for what one wants with making jewelry, and that drives whether or not one promotes and what one does or doesn't do. Getting clear on your honest desires, and not following what everyone else is doing, is a huge lesson, at least for me!

Am selling at my first crafts' fair in over 30 years in a few weeks...and have things set up in my garage so I can tweak set up requirements and get them stream-lined. That's helping alot!

  14. Thanks New End Studio, I can't believe how fast her graduation got here. Congrats on opening your store on Envy it looks great! You will have to come back and let us know how it's going.

Cate, welcome back! Good luck at your craft fair in a couple of weeks. Setting up ahead of time is a really good plan. Last time I did that I got all my booth displays and supplies down to one push cart and a bin.
