DIY Friday - Creative Ideas to Make Your Own Stamps

I love creating cards and wrapping paper, and a lot of the time that includes creating stamps for my designs. There are so many creative ways to make your own stamps, here are a few of my favorites.

This would work with and veggie with a stem like celery, lettuce,  or even onions.
Cool ides with things you have around the house.

  1. I like to make my own stamps. Make them from many things.

A childhood memory is making them from potatoes! So much fun and then throw it away!

  2. I did make rubber stamps in my high school Graphics class but not since then. I did try using the bottom of a plastic pop bottle dipped in paint to stamp flowers a month ago. I've never been able to master rubber stamping. I either use too much or too little ink, apply too much or too little pressure.

  3. Fun post! I've done the celery "roses" in my preschool for the last couple of years and they are always a big hit!

  4. The cabbage "rose" stamp is awesome!
    Thanks for sharing :)

  5. The roses are fabulous! And the eraser stamps are so cute!

  6. Thanks for sharing. A blog I follow recently created a stamp tutorial.

  7. Thanks for sharing Eyelah, great tutorial!

  8. These are all so creative! Right before Christmas I made potato stamps, such fun!

  9. I really want to try the button stamp idea sometime!

  10. Excellent post full of great stamping ideas. I haven't made my own yet, but I look forward to it sometime soon. =0)

  11. This is a great collection! Thank you for sharing. I've been obsessed with stamping lately :). I recently used a cabbage butt to print some fabric and have a pile of other random hings I want to try stamping with.
