Don't Wait for Inspiration

There are times during the creative process when you don't feel inspired, and that is OK.

Sometimes the ideas are not flowing, and we are not inspired to create new pieces over and over again. But there are times when we need to be creating, so it's important to have a list of ideas to help start the ideas flowing.

  3. I usually back away if I'm stuck. A lot of times just simply giving my craft room a quick organization will help, because I'll unearth supplies and say, 'oh yeah! I was gonna make that!' That helps to unblock me. Or I'll just spend time with my colouring book and markers/crayons/gel pens/pencils.

  4. I take a break and move on to something else, sometimes just moving away from the task at hand for 30 minutes helps clear my brain and I can start again with a fresh outlook.

  5. Like your list says, I keep a notebook of ideas, so when I have time to work on something new or need a creative jump-start, I pull out the book and get to work. I'll also mix up my routine with different projects during the day so I don't get bored.

  7. I have lists and notebooks all over the place... I can't seem to just write everything in one place. I love to go for walks and just get fresh air when I'm not inspired, and I also find that cleaning my workspace helps a ton too.
