  1. What brings me joy in my business is knowing I'm helping someone in their business, or I'm bringing someone joy by feeding their hobby. I love that feeling, it really is what gets me going every day.

  2. I have found that when I use up scraps to create something that is not an item produced over and over, that I find joy. When hat item sells or I give it away, I find joy in it again.

I spent several days mulling over things that I want to change up for the year. I have started some of them. All take time, but I do have a strategy.

Often times this past year, I wouldn't make something because I thought what if it doesn't sell by that holiday... I found the answer. I am going to make the whimsical holiday items and list them. If they don't sell, I will be giving them as gifts. Some on Artfire can stay active there3 all year, but for the most part I will be giving them as gifts.

I took many things to school for my grandson to give as gifts this year. He was thrilled and the recipients were thrilled too. I wrapped them in colored tissue and put them in a Christmas gift bag. My grandson would just hand them out to whoever he wanted. It was a delight. A joy!

    Have a wonderful day!

  3. I have been thinking about this alot lately. While I was back in school I realized that although I enjoy learning about physics I enjoy creating a business a lot more. I can spend hours marketing, creating, selling, or what not whereas I can't seem to devote that same amount of time to my physics studies or a job in physics. I finally decided what I would like to do and I feel this would help grow my business since now I'm on track.

  4. Family time brings me joy. When we come up with something new it brings me joy. Watching my kids get excited about it also brings me joy.
But I will have to think some more about the long term joy...
Thanks for getting the wheels in my head turning!

  5. Creating jewelry gives me joy. I'm still recuperating from hand surgery, so am taking it a little slow.

I also love promoting (myself and) others on social media and blogs.

Our 4 cats bring me joy too!

  7. I closed my Etsy shop because sewing was no longer bringing me joy. Now that I'm sewing because I want to and not because I have to, the joy is back.
Spending time with my granddaughter brings me the most joy!

  9. This is a great question to ask yourself once in a while. The post that I wrote today about keeping my sanity for 2013 has to do with some of the things that I DON'T enjoy and am eliminating for 2013. It's important to take the time to do this on a regular basis.

  10. Running my business brings me extreme joy! Of course the creative side is the best, but I'm a business major, so I like the numbers side too. And I'm working on growing my business to ensure long-term joy as well :)
