  3. Beautiful! I love being at the ocean. The sound of the waves relaxes me. I also love being in the forests and mountains. I had a lovely walk at Mt. Rainier a couple of years ago...despite the thin air making it hard to breathe.

  4. Love the photo with the sun setting across a mirror still lake. Talk about calming and serene ! To sit out at the end of that pier and watch the end of day would rest and inspire the most weary soul.

  10. Beautiful photos! I have been fortunate enough to live near the ocean my entire life but I have always been much more fond of a peaceful lake! It brings back so many childhood memories of a lake in NH where my family vacationed every summer. :)

  11. I love your photos, makes me yearn for a trip to the Midwest. I grew up near the southern tip of Lake Michigan and spent many summers at the beach. The sand made a distinctive squeaky noise when you walked across the beach. Growing up I thought all beach sand made the same noise. Boy was I surprised the first time I went to the ocean and walked on 'silent' sand. I miss the "singing sands" of Lake Michigan.

    Cheers!
