  1. Very beautiful, I'd like to be strolling lakeside at most of these!

  2. gorgeous!
I would love to be relaxing on the beach in my old home town in the Caribbean.
    a girl can dream.
for now, I will live with a few mountain views when I get a chance to relax.

  3. Beautiful! I love being at the ocean. The sound of the waves relaxes me. I also love being in the forests and mountains. I had a lovely walk at Mt. Rainier a couple of years ago...despite the thin air making it hard to breathe.

  4. Love the photo with the sun setting across a mirror still lake. Talk about calming and serene ! To sit out at the end of that pier and watch the end of day would rest and inspire the most weary soul.

  5. Gorgeous...I just can't get over that one image of the tiny island with the small trees!

  6. Gorgeous pics. Very inspirational. My fave lake is Lake George, NY. Not only is there the Lake, but also fantastic mountain views.

  7. Oh my, don't start me about favorite places to relax... I feel so closely connected to the beaches around, each with its own beauty that I cannot imagine life without them!

    Amazing photos!

  8. Great inspiration! I definitely agree about the power of the lake in the Midwest. Lake Michigan will always feel like home to me.

  9. These are beyond beautiful! I think the first one is my favorite, but it's a touch choice!
I'm so excited...my parents recently bought a house on Table Rock Lake south of Branson, MO and we get to visit over 4th of July! I'll definitely be doing some relaxing :)

  10. Beautiful photos! I have been fortunate enough to live near the ocean my entire life but I have always been much more fond of a peaceful lake! It brings back so many childhood memories of a lake in NH where my family vacationed every summer. :)

  11. I love your photos, makes me yearn for a trip to the Midwest. I grew up near the southern tip of Lake Michigan and spent many summers at the beach. The sand made a distinctive squeaky noise when you walked across the beach. Growing up I thought all beach sand made the same noise. Boy was I surprised the first time I went to the ocean and walked on 'silent' sand. I miss the "singing sands" of Lake Michigan.
