Motivation Monday

Now is the time...
To watch the sun rise

To feel the real beauty and power of the sun, rise before
the first rays hit.

Find a vantage point with a fine vista and wait.

Sense the stillness.

Watch as the sun etches out your world.

Enjoy the warmth.

Marvel at the miracle of renewal.

Feel your problems subside.

When was the last time you got up early to watch the sun rise?

  1. Well I got up at the crack of dawn a few weeks ago to try my hand at the flea market (epic fail) and it was a gorgeous sunrise that day. That said, I can't get up much before 7 (really much before 8) so the only sunrises I'll see are in the winter.

  2. Beautiful.
I'm an early bird and sometimes I get up early enough to see the sun rise. These past weeks it's been raining heavily though, so no sun at all...

  3. Beautiful photo! I love sunrises, too. For a few years when the kids were in college, we delivered newspapers 3:30 am - 6:00 am. In addition to earning some extra money, it was great exercise--and the stars, the stillness, and the beautiful sunrises were an added bonus.

  4. I was just telling my boyfriend that we need to switch our bedroom with my craft room so I can be on the East side of the house. I'm up everyday before the sun rises, but I never actually see it!
And I'm in bed before it sets...LOL :)

  5. Though I am not a morning person I have to admit there is something very special about that time of day, when the dark of night transitions into daylight. The world seems so peaceful, so gentle ... it's almost hard to believe that it is rift with war, violence and hatred.

  6. Haha it's been a long time. I saw the sun rise every day when I was teaching, and honestly I don't miss that. I'm not much of a morning person and would rather watch the sun set any day!

  7. Ugh...not in a long time! But M has started a new job where he needs to wake up at 5:30 AM to get going so I'm going to make it a goal to get up with him starting tomorrow!
