“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common - this is my symphony.

I love looking out my kitchen window and watching the birds at my feeders. In the spring we get an amazing collection of colorful birds, but nothing like the beautiful birds in found on Pinterest. These photos showcase a collection of birds with amazing colors and textures.
These birds are gorgeous! Almost don't look real. We've been watching the birds a lot as its been such a warm winter, they never flew/ south! A whole flock of fat robins yesterday, feasting on worms that I guess never bothered to go into hibernation.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection of bird images. I love bird watching. . . casually, they are so amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these peaceful words and images, Valerie! I feel calmer already!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote and the birds are gorgeous! So much beauty... we feed the birds here, and I love just watching them play and flutter around... so sweet. ♥
ReplyDeleteThose birds are so unbelievably gorgeous! There really is something so peaceful about watching birds. Today was a super warm day here in Ct and for some reason I was unexplainably exhausted this afternoon. So, I opened the window wide, sat on the couch with a blanket, dozed and listened to birdsong. I got up an hour or so later totally refreshed... I think it was all thanks to the music of the birds! :) And that quote is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos - many of them really don't look real. I love watching and listening to the birds. Last summer we had our first Eastern Bluebird and Lark Bunting. I sure hope they come back. Thanks so much for bringing beauty to my day. I just found your blog through the hop, and am now a follower.
ReplyDeletelove the birds here, wish I saw some of them outside my window. I saw a squirrel outside my kitchen window this morning. He made the most amazing leap from one tree to the next.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally we get to see a nice Hawk in our yard, but I can never get a good enough look because she is very wary of humans.
Such great bird shots ~ they have such vibrant colors...
ReplyDeleteWow! The birds are so amazing in their color! I have never seen a duck so vibrant before!
