It's easy to not think about those goals again, because the month is almost over and you think it's to late to start.
It's not to late to start!
Consider February 1st as new beginning, and if you don't accomplish what your want in February then try again March 1st.
Consider each new week a chance to start working on your forgotten goal, as well as each day. If you don't get to it one day then try again the next. Don't let excuses like "I didn't get around to it" or "I don't have enough time", stop you. If you want to make it happen then it's time to start.
There is no reason to give up on your goals, everyday is a new beginning.
Are you still actively working on all your goals?
Yes!! I've found that blogging about my goals has kept me focused on them every week and continually excited to move forward! I'm so excited to see the changes.
ReplyDeleteSadie, I agree putting your goals on your blog is a great way to stay motivated and accountable, and change is always so inspiring.
DeleteExcellent advice, Valerie. On some of the more challenging days I go even beyond that and realize that each minute, each second is a chance to start fresh. Gives you a chance to begin again over and over and over... :)
ReplyDeleteMelinda your right, time should never hold you back from reaching your goals. Thanks for sharing!
DeleteThis is such a great reminder Valerie and Melinda too! Some days I feel like a cartoon character who has an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. Often the devil is fed lines from people around us ("That's stupid, you can't do it, it's too much for you etc."). At those times, I try to focus on a specific task that will give me a sense of accomplishment and prove to myself "Yes, I can!"
ReplyDeleteLaurie sometimes it's challenging to not listen to that little devil telling you that you can't do it, but like you said staying focused and reminding yourself "you can do it", is all that's needed for success. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on making Feb 1st the new goal date!! This month has been rushed and kinda lousy here. Emergency surgery for my husband, back to work and school made life hectic and now I've been fighting a cold for the last few days. Ick!!
ReplyDeleteBring on a fresh month!!
Meeling, I hope you feel better soon! You have had a busy month, so it can only get better! Only 5 more days till February.
DeleteI love this reminder and encouragement, for all the goals we haven't even started to achieve.
ReplyDeleteThe weekly goals is what I have begun to try, and even still it is tough to get started on some of them. (financials for instance - strangely this is where I used to excel when I was in the corporate world, but where I sadly procrastinate as a business owenr)
I also love the idea of posting on a blog, as once the goals are published, with an audience, it becomes motivation to achieve that and spread the word that you have succeeded!
Absolutely - so true!! Just because you haven't gotten to it yet doesn't mean you can't achieve your goals next month, or next week. Or even tomorrow! :D
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I haven't forgotten about my resolution yet - let's hope it stays that way!
