Some brown wrap, old magazines, string, and buttons create this fun wrapping.
Music makes pretty paper.
Solid color paper and hand cut letter tags.
Last week Reshema from masalamangomantra.blogspot.com shared in the comments that she creates origami boxes for her gifts. What a great idea. Here is a link to the instructions for creating your own origami boxes. This a great way to recycle some paper.
What kind of packaging are you going to do on your holiday packages this year?
Love the one that uses the old magazines, they're as pretty as a completely new wrapping paper!
ReplyDeleteLots of up-cycling and re-usable containers!
ReplyDeleteLove these...I think these are way more creative than purchasing the store bought generic kinds.
ReplyDeleteCute! Love those hand cut letter tags.
ReplyDeleteAs ever you deliver the goods!!!! great ideas here
ReplyDeleteCute ideas! I love the idea of brown paper bags with fun patterned scrapbook paper wrapped around them like the first sample...lord knows I have plenty of paper to use :)
ReplyDeleteSuch good ideas and inspiration! My daughter chooses a theme every year for wrapping. This year she's using newspaper. I can't wait to see the gifts!
ReplyDeleteAgain, these ideas for wrapping are fantastic!!I especially love the first one - so cute!! Are you using any of these ideas this year?
ReplyDeleteTaylor Lynn, We are going to try several of these ideas this year. Most years we do one idea and wrap everything the same, but this year I think I am going to do the maps, box wraps, creating paper with stamps.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these ideas, especially the music paper :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Valerie! You should take photos to post for us, I'd love to see your fancily-wrapped gifts! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so creative! I recently wrote a post about similar cool wrapping ideas. For example the Japanese fabric wrapping technique Furoshiki, or using maps and wallpaper scraps - http://greenlivingideas.com/2011/12/05/green-holiday-gift-wrapping-ideas/
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely lovely! Quite like the strings and buttons wrap!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the mention on the Origami Boxes! ***Smiles***
Happy Holidays!
