Do you Work Weekends?

My weekends are all about work. My daughter works on the weekend and is headed off to college soon, my husband works on Saturdays and travels for his job, so I hang out at home most weekends with our little dog Bella.

I realized this weekend that when I am at home I spend most of the day working. On the weekends instead of working in my office/studio space in my basement, I do tend to seek out more comfortable chairs in other rooms in my house and watch a little TV while I write blog posts.

I enjoy doing my writing, making plans and coming up with new ideas. So most weekends I don't mind working.

While I was working this past weekend I started thinking about what I would be doing if I was not working. Besides hanging out with family and friends, I could not think of anything else I wanted to do. I guess I am doing exactly what I should be doing.

What about you do you work weekends?

  1. After the first cup of coffee, I head straight to the computer. I think many people have a work discipline and if the computer is there... we work!

    Have a great day!

  3. This sounds like me! Although I would love to just lounge around it will not happen. I enjoy working on the jewelry business on the weekend since it feels more relaxing rather than stressful. ~Val

  4. Nope, I don't... but then, I don't really work anyway. ;) I do my schoolwork during the week, though, if you'd like to count that! ;)

  5. We've never really enjoyed the traditionl weekends. My husband works from Friday through Sunday and has ever since my oldest was a newborn. Our weekends pretty much just flow along like any other day. And wonderful for you, when working brings you such joy, can it even be considered 'working' any more? ;)
