I love this time of year. Watching the trees and flowers come into bloom, the smell of grass that has been mowed for the first time, the sound of the birds, and the warmer weather. I love to be outside (before the mosquitoes are out in full force) and enjoy a quite afternoon.
This is the perfect time to write and draw in my journal/sketchbook and reflect on the beauty around me everyday.
Take out your journal/sketchbook and spend a few minutes outside just enjoying to sounds, sites, and smells, around you. Then write or draw about what you enjoy most about being outside.
This is a great time of year to open up and get your creative juices flowing. Let your journal/sketchbook guide you to new discoveries outside.
What is your favorite thing about being outside?
i have to agree it is my favourite time of year too. I don't know where you are, but we have huge misquotes & they are out already...lol.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year too! So beautiful! If you're having trouble with mosquitoes please check out our line of clothing - www.mosquitobeachwear.com It sure helps me when I'm around those pesky bugs! Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI live in the Chicago area and it's still a little chilly for the the mosquitoes, but they will be here soon enough.
ReplyDeleteMosquito Beachwear, you have very cool stuff, and what a great idea.
I don't know that I could choose just one thing about being outside Valerie. It's where I'm most comfortable, nature feeds my spirit. We live out in the country, without many neighbors and those around us respect our space. :)I love the birdsong, the green grass, lush plants and trees, a gorgeous blue sky, white puffy clouds great for cloud watching and walking barefoot in the grass. I guess that's enough for now. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat photo is gorgeous! I love the sounds and smells of being outside most of all, I think. All the birds, and at night the owls and turkeys and coyotes (and even foxes now and then!). And all the smells of spring...! And, of course, I love photographing all of the plants and flowers and nature in general outside. :) Oh, and like Mom said, walking barefoot = heaven. <3
ReplyDeleteBut now I think I'll stop before I go on forever... LOL
Melinda your right choosing one thing is unfair. This time of year there are so many reasons to enjoy the outside. Your place in the country sounds wonderful, enjoy every minute of being outside.
ReplyDeleteI love making Toekini's outside with the sun on my face! If only I was sitting on a beach making them...ahhhhh.
