Do you move from room to room when you work at home?
Have you noticed that sometimes two hands is not enough, but you try to take everything in one trip anyway?
Here's a few suggestion on how to stay organized as you move from one spot to the next.
1.If you carry mostly flat loose items (such as paper or bills) try a portable workstation they have pockets for safe storage of items, including a laptop, as you move around the house.
2.If you tend to carry bulkier items (such as books or magazines) try a plastic storage bin with a long handle. The longer handle will be helpful for large items that need more room.
The potable workstation has built in pockets and compartments to help you stay organized. For box users, it may be helpful to use a pen/pencil box and a file folder for papers inside the box.
These quick tips hopefully will lead to fewer trips back and forth around the house.

I really should get more organized (for now I just throw everything into a shoebox!!) -- thanks for the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteYou read my mind! I just saw one of those folding workstation things (your first photo) on an infomercial this past weekend & thought it was a perfect idea for getting myself organized. Now, of course, I can't remember what it was called or who sold it -- any chance you still have a link to that?
ReplyDeleteThat portable work station seems like it would really help! I've never seen anything like it, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe portable workstation is a very clever option. It's called WonderFile and I would strongly recommend finding it at a local store that sells "As Seen on TV" items. Not only is it cheaper in the store, there will be no additional cost for shipping and handling.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about building a portable lap desk for packaging my stamps...Thanks for this post!
ReplyDeleteYay -- thanks, Pam!
