Reminiscing about High School

Yesterday my daughter had her first day of her senior year, bringing back all kind of memories of my high school days.

Since my sister is visiting we spent a relaxing afternoon reminiscing about our high school days. We went to the same high school 4 years apart, and we decided that all the 80's was pretty bad.

We talked about how bad we dressed, how ugly the clothes were back then, and all the scary hair styles we had.

I could not wait to get out of high school, and I've spent a lot of time trying to forget being there. A few things I do remember was hanging in the halls talking to friends, trying not to study, and counting down the days until the end of senior year.

What is a favorite memory you have from high school?

  2. I loved senior year! I finally felt like I had things figured out.. Our school had a no off-campus lunch policy, but since I was in newspaper, we had special badges that let us leave for lunch to "sell newspaper ads" but really we'd just go get food, hang out at one of our houses and watch tv until lunch and newspaper period was up. I also miss seeing your friends every single day.

  3. I decided to go to College at the last minute so while most of my friends went half-a-day our senior year, I went all day and the previous summer too. I had squeeze in my college prep classes that I should have taken in previous years. It was a wise choice in the long run. If you could go back in time what would you have done differently during you HS years?

  4. I hated high school. I left home and never got in touch with anyone when I left.

I went to my 30th reunion and re-met people I had totally forgotten about.

  5. My favorite memory about high school, even though I graduated 47 years ago, is leaving. I used to wake up afterward crying thinking I was still in high school.

  6. I am with Flowers. My favorite memory, also, was leaving. I used to have nightmares that I was required by state law to attend gym and math classes when I went back to visit my folks.

Just took our baby to college, so my kids are out of high school now, too.

  7. Favorite memory from high school...LEAVING! I feel for my kidlet having to deal with some of the chaos associated with the school systems now. Had a class reunion a while back, truly sad the amount of people hanging onto high school. Heck still living like they are in high school!!

I have gotten way behind on everyones blogs, shame on me. I am attempting to get caught up, which is quite a task I might add.

Make sure you zoom over and check out all the new changes to my blog. I have tons of new giveaways too, new one posted all the time!!
