Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI am recommending a book today, if you haven't read it, you may want to pick up a copy.
My Stroke of Insight by Jill Bolte Taylor. She is a brain scientist who had a major stroke at 37 and was able to document her experience. It took her 8 years to get her mind to function the way it did before the stroke. It is a fascinating look at how the mind works. She lost all use of her left brain for awhile, very, very interesting. She could only Feel the world around her. I came away from this read with a whole new understanding of right/left brain function and how/why emotions play their role. From an intuitive artists stand point this is useful (at least for me).
On another note:
I quit artfire, I was neglecting it and I am neglecting my Etsy store but I won't be closing that one. I am trying to streamline my internet use to free up my time for actual creating, but it's not going well. I wanted to use a Pay Pal shopping cart on my blog for all my sales and I cannot figure out how to make it look right on the blog, so I guess Etsy is stuck with me for my sales venue until I find something better.
That's it, have a great week all. TF
Hi Trixie, Thank you for the recommendation for the book, it sounds like an inspiring and informative book. If anyone wants to check it out the book here is a link My Stroke of Insight by Ph.D. Jill Bolte
ReplyDeleteI totally understand about your Artfire shop, I think I am going to get rid of my Zibbet shop and just work my Etsy and 1000 Markets shop. It's all a lot of work and I already spend way more time on the computer then I want, between my blog and my shops.
Thanks for sharing today.
One thing I want to share today - Monday is the first day of my very first giveaway, it will run until 8/15. It's the Back to Being Creative Giveaway with a prize pack worth $45. Stop by next week for your chance to win.

I'm trying to get some more seasonal/situational cards into my shop and doing a lousy job of it.

I spend as much money as I make on jewelry from etsy.
