What do you like to Read?

I am a bookoholic! I don't know why, I did not even like to read when I was in school, but today I read everyday. Did you know that reading regularly can influence your creativity?

I read or listen to books on CD daily. I like mysteries, science fiction, thrillers, and even a romance when I listen to books on CD, and when I read books it's about business, art, inspiration, and jewelry. Some of my favorites are listed on the sidebar in the section Book to Inspire Creativity. How often do you read? and what type of books do you like?

In tomorrows post I will share ideas with you for creating a Creative Reading Plan. It is simple and will get your creative juices flowing. I know time is a issue for many of us, and with this plan you will get what you need with a few minutes a day.

Share what your favorite types of books are in the comment section, and stop by tomorrow for tips for your own Creative Reading Plan.

  1. We love books too in our home :) Science Fiction, Fiction and Non-Fiction are some favorites. Got several new books for Christmas that will be entertaining me this winter :)

  2. I read often :) I enjoy Amish fiction, medical thrillers, biographies & historic mysteries.

I have a Kindle now and read it almost every day before bed if time allows & at lunch during work. It's handy!

  3. I love reading when I was younger. However, I don't read as much as I would like to now. Maybe it is the attention span. I surf the internet more often and read about articles, blogs online. My hubby on the other hand LOVES Books and LOVES to read. He does more e-reading now too.

    God Bless

  4. I read every night before bed. Sometimes fantasy, sometimes psychology or philosophy, sometimes poetry. It all depends :) I feel like I appreciate reading a lot more now, than when I was a student. Probably because it's less forced :)

  6. I hate to really admit this but I never READ....I know that I should, but I never got into it. I love to get books from the library with new art techniques and fine art books......maybe this will be the year I actually pick up a novel!!

  7. The best book on tape that I've ever listened to was Neil Gaiman reading "Stardust." His reading of it is INCREDIBLE.

Books for reading - Lamb by Christopher Moore, The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenger, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by (I can't remember the author's name). Sooooo good!

  9. I love reading! And I love having books around... the Amazon Kindle makes me a little sad, because it's slowly killing the home library, which is something I love!

  10. I love new age books, fantasy novels, historic romance, humorous and uplifting. I enjoy just getting caught up in something beyond my own life. I have always encouraged my girls to read and now, they will get lost in a good book, too. It's a way to set your mind free...how great is that?
